Alexandr Svetlicinii

Alexandr Svetlicinii is Associate Professor at the University of Macau, Faculty of Law where he also serves as the Programme Coordinator of Master of Law in International Business Law. Prior to joining the University of Macau, he worked as a senior researcher at the Jean Monnet Chair of European Law at the Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia. Dr Svetlicinii holds a law degree from the Free International University of Moldova, LL.M In International Business Law from the Central European University, Master of Research (Law) and PhD in Law from the European University Institute. His research projects have received funding from the Institute of European Studies of Macau, the Estonian Research Council, the Estonian Institute, the Slovak Academic Information Agency, the International Visegrad Fund, etc. Dr Svetlicinii acted as a national expert in a number of studies commissioned by the EU Commission including the Field study on the functioning of the judicial systems for the application of EU antitrust law rules. His papers in the fields of competition law and market regulation appeared in Common Market Law Review, European law Review, World Competition, Journal of World Trade, Asia Europe Journal, etc. Among the recent works stands the monograph Competition Law in Moldova (Kluwer, 2018). His current research focuses on the treatment of state-owned enterprises under antitrust, merger control, and FDI screening. Full profile:
