The Clinic for legal Aid in Times of War was established in response to the Iron Swords War. It is a unique initiative that provides legal assistance to individuals affected by the war. Its goal is to offer personalized support for realizing rights and representation in various legal forums, while also addressing fundamental issues and new legal dilemmas that have emerged from the realities of wartime life.

Over the past year, the clinic has advised and represented dozens of individuals—including victims of hostilities, survivors of the party attacks, disabled IDF veterans, evacuees, and reservists—and helped them exercise their rights with the National Insurance Institute, the Ministry of Defense, workplaces, and more.

The clinic operates in collaboration with civil society organizations, government ministries, and local authorities, aiming to strengthen civil resilience and prevent violations of human rights during emergencies. Its work bridges academia, professionals, and the community, promoting social change alongside direct support for war victims.

Among others, legal aid will be provided to the following groups affected by the war: victims of hostilities and survivors of the party attacks, soldiers, reservists and their families, disabled IDF veterans and those injured during military service, evacuees and residents of conflict zones, and bereaved families.

The clinic will utilize a variety of tools and, when necessary, reach field locations to promote comprehensive policies that ensure justice and rights.

The clinic will be accompanied by a theoretical seminar led by Dr. Lehi Yona, focusing on the intersection between marginalized populations and the legal system. The seminar will be held jointly with the Human Rights Clinic in the Civil Procedure.
