The Clinic for Law and Education Policy

The Education Law and Policy Clinic, which began its activities in the 2011-2012 school year, aims to promote and play a significant role in shaping education policy in Israel, strengthening public education, promoting substantive equality in the education system, strengthening social solidarity and protecting students' rights in the education system.

Since its establishment, the clinic has treated thousands of applicants from diverse populations, and has achieved many successes inside and outside the courts, and is currently the leading legal entity in Israel in the social struggle for equal opportunities in education.
Students at the clinic gain significant experience in getting to know disadvantaged populations, getting to know the state and legal systems, drafting policy papers and legislative proposals. Students also receive research tools designed for social change and study in an academic seminar where they gain broad theoretical knowledge in broad fields of law, education and social justice.
Throughout the year, the students who take part in the clinic operate an inquiry center to promote equal opportunities in education, to prevent cases of exclusion, discrimination and violations of law in the education system.
