ד”ר יפעת ארן היא מרצה בפקולטה למשפטים באוניברסיטת חיפה.

ד”ר ארן חוקרת ומלמדת דיני תאגידים, משפט ויזמות ורגולציה של ניירות ערך בדגש על חברות הזנק מגובות הון סיכון. היא בוגרת אוניברסיטת סטנפורד (JSM, 2015; JSD,2020) שם הייתה עמיתת התוכנית למחקר בין תחומי (SIGF) ותוכנית ג’ון אולין במשפט וכלכלה.

ד”ר ארן מחזיקה גם בתארים מהאוניברסיטה העברית (LLB; LLM) כבוגרת המצטיינת של השנתון. לד”ר ארן ניסיון עשיר כעורכת דין בתחום הליטיגציה התאגידית והמסחרית, והיא כיהנה כעוזרת משפטית לנשיא בית המשפט העליון (דאז), ד”ר אשר גרוניס, וכמתמחה של נשיאת בית המשפט העליון (דאז), דורית ביניש.

מחקריה, אשר התפרסמו בכתבי עת מובילים וזכו בפרסים, עוסקים בתנאים המשפטיים המעודדים התפתחות של אזורי חדשנות וביחסים המורכבים בין בעלי עניין בחברות הזנק – בדגש על משקיעי הון סיכון, יזמים ועובדים.
