Germán Oscar Johannsen is a Chilean lawyer and academic researcher affiliated to the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, where he is currently working on his PhD thesis and other projects centred on the data economy and AI-based technologies. He also holds a LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Competition from the Munich IP Law Center. Before moving to Germany, he worked as officer at the Chilean National Economic Prosecutor's Bureau.
