Pieter Van Cleynenbreugel (PhD, KULeuven; LL.M., Harvard) is Professor of European Union law at the University of Liège, Belgium and Director of its Liège Competition and Innovation Institute (LCII). His research focuses on EU administrative law, new approaches to EU regulation and the enforcement of EU competition law. He is the Principal Investigator of the ERC EUDAIMONIA project (2021-2026). In the recent past, Pieter also conducted research in competition law and digital markets, inter alia as general co-rapporteur for the Fédération Internationale de Droit européen (FIDE). Prior to taking up his chair in Liège, he was an assistant professor at Leiden University (the Netherlands).
