Vellah Kedogo Kigwiru

Vellah Kedogo Kigwiru, an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, is currently a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Technical University of Munich’s (TUM) School of Governance and a Guest Researcher, Marx Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, Munich Germany.  Previously she worked as a legal analyst at the Competition Authority of Kenya. Kigwiru’s research interests focuses on competition law and policy; legal technology and innovation; international economic law; trade law; regional integration; human rights; and legal research and writing. Kigwiru has recently published a journal article on the cooperation of competition policy under the African Continental Free Trade Area and she is conducting a PhD research on ‘Regional Regulation of Market Competition in Africa’ using the COMESA competition regime as a case study in a comparative analysis with the European Union.
