Dr Marios Iacovides is a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford’s Institute of European and Comparative Law and a Legal Counsel (on leave) at the Swedish Competition Authority. He is an Expert Advisor on EU competition law and sustainability for the Hellenic Competition Commission, a Non-Governmental Advisor for DG Competition in the International Competition Network, and occasionally acts as of counsel for a Swedish boutique competition law firm. He obtained an LL.B with European Legal Studies at King’s College London, an LL.M in European Integration Law at Stockholm University, and an LL.D in European Law at Uppsala University. He has represented the Swedish Competition Authority as Legal Counsel on several competition law proceedings at first instance and at the Court of Appeal and has worked as an Assistant Professor in EU Law at Stockholm University. His research focuses on the goals of competition law (https://dx.doi.org/10.2139/ssrn.3735795) and on EU competition law, the Green Deal, and sustainability, especially in the context of Article 102 TFEU (https://dx.doi.org/10.2139/ssrn.3699416).
