Daniel Gill has studied Economics in Marburg (Germany) and is employed as research and teaching assistant at the chair of Economic Policy (Prof. Kerber), department of Economics, of PhilippsUniversity Marburg, since October 2016. In his doctoral research project he addresses new, digitalization-based, economic and competition policy issues at the example of the connected car. His research focus is on issues arising from the lack of access to data and resources that are relevant for competition and innovation in digital ecosystems. Further, interlinked fields of interest are i.a. competition law and data protection, as well as questions of interoperability and standardization.
