WE HAVE A NEW DEAN!
Prof. Tal Zarsky was unanimously elected to serve as the new Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Haifa. Prof. Zarsky, who has so far served as the Vice Dean of the Faculty, will serve as Dean from the beginning of the next academic year and will replace Prof. Oren Gazal-Ayal, who has been in office since 2017.
Zarsky has been involved in research and teaching in the fields of Cyber, Communications and the Internet, Privacy and E-commerce, as well as Property and Contract Law for over twenty years. His publications can be found in leading journals in Israel and around the world. Prof. Zarsky holds a bachelor’s degree (summa cum laude) in Law and Psychology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a master’s and doctoral degree from Columbia University in New York, USA.
Among other things, he has researched and lectured at top tier universities, including NYU, Yale, the University of Amsterdam, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Bocconi in Milan, the University of Leiden and the University of Ottawa.
In addition to his other expertise, Prof. Zarsky advises governmental and private bodies in Israel and oversees in areas related to Privacy and Technology.
