11/2/10 CALL FOR APPLICATIONS for a Post-Doctoral Position: ERC PROJECT RESEARCHING CONDITIONS FOR EFFECTIVE INTERNATIONAL ADJUDICATION, http://www.effective-intl-adjudication.org/. The position is available with the ERC Project Researching Conditions for Effective International Adjudication (The Effectiveness Project). The Effectiveness project is a five year research project funded by the European Research Council. It is designed to develop and apply criteria for assessing the effectiveness of international courts and tribunals. For more information. Led by Prof. Yuval Shany, the project is carried out by a research group based at the Faculty of Law, in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. For the academic year 2010-2011, the project is offering one post-doctoral fellowship for researchers interested in studying international court effectiveness. The sum awarded as a fellowship will be 24,000 Euro per annum, plus the cost of one round trip to Israel (where applicable). Interested applicants are invited to submit a short letter of intent by 1 March 2010, to which a one page research project proposal, a CV, a writing sample, and a letter ofrecommendation from the PhD supervisor (confirming, inter alia, the award or submission of a PhD) should be appended. Preference will be accorded in 2010-2011 to projects focusing on assessing the effectiveness of various aspects relating to the work of human rights courts. |

14/12/09 Fellowship Announcement: CALL FOR CANDIDATES – THE HENRY G. SCHERMERS FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME. In 2008 the Hague Institute for the Internationalisation of Law (HiiL) and the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NIAS) have established the Henry G. Schermers Fellowship Programme. The Programme aims at providing research Fellowships to prominent scholars conducting research within the parameters of the HiiL Research Programme, National Law in a Global Society. All applications will principally be assessed against the contribution they make towards the implementation of that programme. Henry G. Schermers Fellowships are awarded for a full research year, from 1 September to 30 June (ten months), or for one semester (either 1 September to 31 January or 1 February to 30 June). The Fellowship is intended to attract PhD graduates to spend up to three years researching at the Centre. The CEPC will contract 6 outstanding postdoctoral fellows holding Ph.D. degree in either public law or social science. Applicants must have a Ph.
